Class Descriptions

Being asked to describe the group fitness classes at our Lubbock gym is like being asked to share an awesome vacation without pictures.  But we’ll do our best.

BARRE –A hybrid workout class combining ballet-inspired moves with elements of Pilates and strength training. It is primarily focused on toning and strengthening the core and lower body. 

LES MILLS BODY PUMP – is a barbell workout for anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit – fast. Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition. Pump gives you a total body workout, Instructors will coach you through scientifically proven moves and techniques pumping out encouragement, motivation, and great music. 

TOTAL BODY TONE – is a total body workout. Sculpt and lengthen muscles with a combination of strength training and low impact cardio that will leave you feeling refreshed, strong and burning calories all day long. All levels welcome as modifications are always demonstrated. 

LES MILLS CORE– Exercising muscles around the core, CXWORX™ provides the vital ingredient for a stronger body. A stronger core makes you better at all things you do, from everyday life to your favorite sports – it’s the glue that holds everything together. All the moves in CXWORX have options, so it’s challenging but achievable for your own level of fitness. During the 30- minute workout, trained instructors guide you through correct technique as you work with resistance tubes and weight plates, as well as body weight exercises like crunches, and hovers. You will also get into some hip, butt, and lower back exercises. 

ELEVATE – is designed to target muscle groups in ways you cannot with other group classes or free weights. This low impact, full body work out will torch calories utilizing a machine that works against gravity. There is a class for everyone showcasing all fitness levels 

HEATED VINYASA YOGA – is an intense all-level class incorporating balance, deep flexibility work and a focus on mindfulness. The class is heated to warm up the body for deeper stretches and detoxification. 

HIGH FITNESS – Aerobics is back! Bigger, better, HIGHer! Experience more than just a workout! HIGH fitness is simple, intense, consistent, inclusive, and fun! HIGH gets participants addicted and coming back for more! HIGH takes old school aerobics to the next level with modern fitness techniques such as hit training, plyometrics, intervals of strength and cardio, and more. You can go high or low, but you will always leave feeling HIGH! 

HIIT – (high-intensity interval training), is an interval training format. You will give max effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short, sometimes active, recovery periods. You will use various equipment, step, BOSU balls, bands, weights, gliders and more. This type of training allows your heart rate to stay up, give you a recovery time and burns more calories throughout the day. 

JUMP  45 minute class focusing on flexibility, strength and power.  Fast paced, non impact cardio on the trampoline combined with strength exercises on the floor to target upper body, core and glutes.

RESTORATIVE YOGA – practice that focuses on relaxation through the use of blocks, bolsters, and blankets. Students are guided through poses that gently stretch and support the body. 

SPIN – has great music pumping and the group spinning as one. You will take a journey of hills, climbs, sprints, racing, and endurance riding. 

STRONG Discover the STRONG by Zumba High-Intensity Cardio and Tone 60 min workout, where every move is synced to a beat. … STRONG by Zumba combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training moves synced to original music that has been specifically designed to match every single move.

VINYASA FLOW YOGA – is perfect for beginning yogis as well as experienced yogis looking for a new challenge. The class incorporates breath-work, strength, building movements, balance and flexibility woven together in a seamless flow.
